Wellington Art Club Inc. is a Registered Charity: CC61561, run by and for artists, was established in 1892 by the ‘Pumpkin Cottage’ artists to support the development of visual art in Wellington and surrounding area by sponsoring individual and group exhibitions, offering workshops and providing education and information to the artistic community and its patrons.
The membership of the Club has included distinguished New Zealand artists, such as James Nairn, Nugent Welch, Sydney Higgs and others.
